I was looking at your list of State Games and noticed the 1968 - June 29 - Tasmania v Victorian Football Association which was played in Launceston, so do you have the record of that game if so is it for sale? otherwise a scanned copy of the complete record will be fine

Cheers

Hi Sean,

Just wanted to know if you’d be willing to sell one of your WAFL 1961 Coca-Cola League Football Stars cards.

Specifically, of my father Tom Marinko from West Perth (though you’ve incorrectly named him as Don Marinko on your site!)

I realise this series is ridiculously hard to come by. Just thought I’d ask.

Thanks very much.

Cheers

Hi Sean

I have been looking for stats and records of my short time playing at East Freo Colts and Reserves in the mid 2000s. The Budget online starts in 2008, and the player records for Reserves and Colts doesn't start unti l2010 online. If you have any idea of where else i can look, that would be great.

HiI'm hoping you can tell me who wore number 14 for WA in the State Game with SA in 1962. I have the jumper, which was exchanged with Robert Oatey's at the end of the match.
Just confirming, Richard, that this was likely from 1966, 1968 or 1969 and, therefore, worn by Colin Hebbard, Dobbie Graham or Peter Stephen.

Hi Eliza, Very difficult, I'm afraid. These cards were sold as a set, not separately. As a result, you will normally need to buy an entire set to get the card you are after. I haven't seen a Subiaco set for sale in some time, but will let you know if I hear of one. Sean

hello, i would like to know if you are inetersted in buying a football budget from saturday october 5 1946. Seems to be a grand final one east fremantle vs west perth. I can send you a picture. There is one small torn out part on one page, but seems just to affect the edge of the page. I can also send you a photo of that. I’m selling it for a charity I’m involved with as it has been donated to us. Unsure of value. Any assistance or advice appreciated. Thanks Justine Richmond

Hi Sean - I have just stumbled across your site.  My grandfather was Wilfred Brophy, who played for Subiaco. My name is Rebecca, I now live in New York and I work as a writer. I am sitting here with my mum, his daughter, in my kitchen in NYC and we were hoping you had a copy of the card from the 1932 Plaistowe & Co Football Toffee collection you mention that you'd be able to share with us? We'd be so happy to see it. Thank you for your site!

Hi Rick,

There were two different sets of playing cards. The first dates to the late 1970s and is easily identified by the fact it has the words "PLASTIC COATED" down the side of the pack.

The other type has the shield-shaped logos on the front, and were made about 1982.

Hope that helps.
Sean.

Hi Scott, Your best bet at the moment would be to pop it on eBay. A few years ago, these were commanding good prices, but the market for them has fallen away substantially. I suspect you would be looking at a few hundred dollars, less the commission. Hope that helps. Sean
