These tea towels, sometimes used as wall hangings, were of a fairly uninteresting design, which featured a football on an oval with goalposts at each end. They measure approximately 43cm x 70cm, though they can shrink a little in the wash. The maker is unknown. The tea towels can be dated to the period 1973-1982 using the club nicknames, but I have been unable to narrow that time frame any further.
Measuring about 47cm x 79cm, these tea towels were issued in 1980-81 and featured the old w-style club logos, which were in use from 1976-1981. The cloth was a linen-type fabric and I have seen a few of these framed over the years. One of the places at which you could buy them was the Footy Shop at 215 Oxford St in Leederville. I suspect many of these ended up as oily rags after they had outlived their usefulness as tea towels.
