Tour Itineraries and Tour Function Programs

It wasn't always so easy to jet across the country. So when WA football teams wanted to broaden their horizons and take on teams from other states or from country WA, they used to have to organise a trip or formal tour. Back in the first half of last century, clubs would usually take a trip to the bush every year and tour the Eastern States every four or five years. And when they went east, a tour itinerary would be produced for those players, administrators and supporters who went. Obviously, these are hard to find today, especially those from the 1910s, 1920s and 1930s
While on tour, they would often attend a function that was hosted by one of the local clubs. Programs would usually be produced for these functions.
Below, I have listed off the known majour tours each club made to the end of 1969, with the expectation that an itinerary would have been produced. I have also listed off functions they are known to have attended.
I have crossed through the itineraries and function programs that I have in my collection.
Further research needs to be undertaken to make this list definitive.
